TORONTO, Nov. 4, 2026 /CNW/ -- On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Pension Board (OPB), Chair Grant B. Walsh is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Rondeau as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 15.
"Following an extensive Board-led search process, we are pleased to appoint Marc Rondeau as our new President & CEO. Marc brings a combination of executive leadership, pension expertise, financial stewardship, and an understanding of the environment in which OPB operates. With an ambitious path forward in place and significant opportunities ahead, the Board is confident that Marc is well positioned to lead OPB into its next chapter," said Chair Walsh.
Most recently, as OPB's Executive Vice-President and Chief Pension Officer, he has led initiatives to strengthen the plan's long-term financial sustainability, advance responsible growth, and shape the organization's strategic objectives. His experience with Ontario's Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) from both the Plan Sponsor and Administrator perspectives positions him well to advance OPB's mandate.
Marc succeeds Darwin Bozek, whose previously announced retirement follows a period of dedicated leadership and service to OPB. Darwin will remain as Special Advisor to support a smooth transition.
"I am honoured to lead OPB at such an exciting time in its history. We have a talented and dedicated team, a strong foundation of client service, and a clear vision for the future. This is an opportunity to build on these strengths and continue to deliver on the pension promise that more than 105,000 members and their families depend on," said Marc regarding his appointment.
"Our strategic plan provides an ambitious roadmap for the years ahead. With approximately $40 billion in pension assets, investments underway to modernize our pension administration and enable digital services, and initiatives to strengthen our financial sustainability, OPB is well positioned for the future," added Mr. Rondeau.
