Local Author Perry Fox of Eden Releases Debut Civil War Novel Lincoln's Double, Inspired by Family History

A Family Story Sparks a Riveting Historical Novel of a Confederate Soldier, Abraham Lincoln, and an Unexpected Friendship

NEW YORK, NY, October 25, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The city of Eden has a new storyteller in its midst. Local author Perry Fox is proud to announce the publication of his debut novel, Lincoln's Double: Friend or Foe, a sweeping work of historical fiction with deep roots in family history.

Drawing inspiration from the life of his grandfather, a 6'5" Confederate soldier who bore a striking resemblance to Abraham Lincoln, Fox has crafted a unique and compelling narrative. Lincoln's Double imagines an alternate path for his ancestor, weaving a tale of a botched kidnapping, an unlikely friendship with the president, and a desperate race to stop an assassination.

"I've always been fascinated by the stories my father told me about his own father," says Fox, an Eden resident. "Writing this book was a way for me to connect with a grandfather I never got to meet and to explore the incredible 'what ifs' of history. It's been a labor of love, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with my community."

The novel takes readers on a journey from the simple farms of Florida to the high-stakes political arena of Washington, D.C., offering a fresh perspective on one of America's most defining eras.
